What should I list?
Sep 13, 2024
So you’re ready to make money on Yoodlize, but what exactly should you list?
A good rule of thumb is this: if you love it, find it useful, but only occasionally use it, then others will love it and find it useful too. If an item sits unused mosts weeks, why not let others enjoy it while you make some extra cash? With that in mind, here are some of the most popular items on the app.
Outdoor Gear: If you’ve got equipment that helps people explore the outdoors, it’s a win! Consider listing:
Paddle boards
Electric bikes
Kayaks
ATVs/Four wheelers
Surfboards
Beach gear
Event & Party Essentials: People often need extra items to host the perfect gathering, especially one-time events like weddings and parties. Consider listing:
Bounce houses
Wedding tents
Tables and chairs
Speakers
Yard games
Popcorn machines
Cotton candy machines
Pizza ovens
Tools & Home Improvement: Got tools or equipment that help with DIY home projects? Consider listing:
Trailers
Power Sprayers
Carpet Cleaners
Tech & Gadgets: Whether it’s for a weekend of fun or testing out the latest and greatest, you can't go wrong with tech. Consider listing:
VR headsets
Nintendo Switches
Camera lenses
Drones
Setting Your Price
Remember, pricing items at a reasonable rate is key to getting more rentals. If you set your price close to the purchase price or to the same price you’d see at a rental shop, then you’re probably too high.
Compare your prices with other similar items on the app and if in doubt, ask yourself, “If I were to rent this out at this price would I feel like I’m getting a bargain?” If so, you’re probably on the right track. This is especially important for items people tend to rent out for multiple days. Your price may seem reasonable for a one-day rental. But if it's needed for a week, then the total price can jump up quickly.
